Overview

Bilge Paint is a high quality, single coat finish achieving a 30% satin sheen level. It is hardwearing and resistant to oil, making it the perfect paint for bilges and working areas. It offers superb corrosion resistance, outstanding moisture resistance and fast drying properties even in poor conditions.

Usage

PREPARATION

Use Symphony Narrowboat Paint Bilge Paint over a wide variety of surfaces that have been suitably abraded.. Remove loose or blistered paint and flat down existing surfaces with 180-240 Grit sanding. Remove sanding dust by wiping with a tack cloth. All surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease or any other surface contaminants before application.

APPLICATION

Stir well prior to use. If brushing, apply one coat RFU (Ready For Use) to a DFT of 110 microns (+/- 5 microns). Apply evenly in small sections by using a Synthetic Brush. If spraying, 20% Thinner 2621 and first light coat to a DFT of 60 microns. Leave to dry for a minimum of 15 minutes before application of the second coat to a DFT of 60 microns. Minimum Total DFT after one coat painting of two coats spraying should be 110 microns. Avoid cold, damp or high humidity conditions. Hard dry in 24 hours and fully cured after 7 days.
