Invented and manufactured exclusively by DuPont, Tyvek® is a unique and versatile material that is tough, yet extremely light and soft. It is permeable to both air and water vapour, yet repels water-based liquids and aerosols. It acts as an excellent barrier against fine particles and fibres. It is ultra-low-linting and also antistatically treated.

Compared to Tyvek® 500 coveralls, Tyvek® 500 Xpert protective coveralls are 3x more protective against liquids, 6x more protective against airborne particulates and have an optimised shape for better fit and protection while moving, an improved hood to better follow head movement and fit masks, and a larger zipper to more easily fasten and unfasten while wearing gloves.
