Overview

Sanding is a must-do in any paint or coating project. It is essential for giving your work an amazing smooth finish. Hand sanding has many benefits over power sanding. Final hand sand after machine sanding will give a better finish than ending with a machine sanding. You can also fine tune areas that may need extra care and sand contours, tight spaces and moulding profiles.

Choosing the correct abrasive for the job is also important.

As a specialist product for preparation for polishing and lacquering, 1748 sialac has a number of outstanding properties which, combined, produce perfect results – whether it’s keying primer coats and body filler or intermediate and final sanding of lacquers.

PREPARATION

Ensure you have the correct PPE for sanding. FFP1 masks are suitable for hand sanding, drilling and cutting dust protection only. FFP2 Masks are suitable for plastering and machine sanding. Wear eye protections such as safety glasses and goggles to prevent flying debris from sanding.

Tear enough sanding net for application by hand or machine. Can be cut to fit any size of sanding equipment for exceptional versatility.
